From Vision to Reality: Kazang’s Mobile Payment Solutions Drive 20% Monthly Growth
One of our most significant achievements came in 2018, when Kazang became the first non-bank institution in Zambia to fully integrate with the National Financial Switch (NFS). This milestone enabled us to offer instant money transfers directly to bank accounts, further solidifying our reputation as a trusted and innovative financial services provider. Our expansion into merchant payment solutions has been a game-changer, facilitating mobile payments for goods and services and achieving a consistent 20% monthly growth.Today, Kazang Zambia serves an ever-growing client base that includes major brands such as Woolworths, eVita, and Nando’s, all of whom have adopted our mobile money payment solutions.
Fueling Growth: From Electricity to Card Payments, Kazang is Driving Zambia’s Digital Future
Kazang provides a wide array of prepaid value-added services through our point-of-sale mobile devices, which are deployed across Zambia. One of our key partnerships, secured through a competitive tender process, involves selling electricity and energy solutions from ZESCO Limited, the government-owned power utility. This collaboration underscores our commitment to delivering essential services to Zambians through innovative digital platforms.
Looking ahead, Kazang Zambia is preparing to launch card acquiring services for Visa and MasterCard via our Kazang Pay (K-Pay) platform. With approximately 12,500 devices currently deployed and around 7,500 ready for card acceptance, we have ambitious plans to expand our terminal network to 100,000 devices over the next five years.
